Global Sales Manager /Director/HeadOf

Purpose:

As our Global Sales Manager/Director/HeadOf, reporting to our CRO, you will be responsible for leading and growing a team of Business Development Managers to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. You will develop and implement sales strategies, oversee the sales process, sales training and product training of the sales team, and foster a high-performance sales culture. Your strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and ability to build relationships within your team for the sake of extraordinary performance will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies: In collaboration with our Chief Revenue Officer, you will iterate on the company’s existing sales strategies to improve and achieve departmental goals and targets. Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Lead and manage the sales team: Motivate a team of BDM’s. Provide coaching, training, guidance, and performance evaluations to enhance individual and team performance. Foster a collaborative team environment to inspire achievement and success.
  • Establish and maintain key client relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders that feed into the creation of new referrals. Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to expand the volume and quality of referrals for your team.
  •  Drive sales performance: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Implement sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to ensure revenue targets are met. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management. Emphasis on accuracy and predictability of reporting.
  • Set sales targets and objectives: Define clear sales targets and goals for the team. Develop sales incentives and programs to motivate and reward top performers.
  • Coordinate with marketing and other departments: Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives. Coordinate with other departments such as finance and operations to ensure seamless execution of sales activities.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Continuously expand product knowledge and keep the team informed about new developments in the market.

Must Haves:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Director, preferably in a relatively short sales cycle SaaS business.  Put simply, you’ve grown a sales organization from 5 to 50 salespeople and grown revenue from $10M to $50+M.  This is what we’re looking for.  Apply if this is you.

  • Willingness to travel globally as needed.

Remuneration: Competitive 6 figure salary + Commission + Private Health Insurance + ESOP
